For buyers

Orders and payments

Can I buy from several shops in one order?

Yes. You pay once; the order is split by shop and each seller ships their part separately, with its own tracking.

Who gets my money?

You pay Zablas, which holds it: the seller only receives it after delivery and the end of the 7-day buyer protection, if everything is in order.

I placed an order but didn't pay: what happens?

An unpaid order waits 24 hours, then it is cancelled and the products become available again. You can also cancel it yourself from the order page.

How do I use a discount code?

Type it in the checkout summary and press “Apply”. You can use one code per order: a shop's codes apply to its products, Zablas's promotions to the whole order.

I need an invoice: how do I ask?

At checkout tick “I need an invoice” and enter your details (including a VAT number). You can also ask later from the order page. Each seller issues it and you download the PDF from your account.

What are flash deals?

Discounts lasting a few hours, sometimes on a limited number of pieces: the countdown shows how long is left. The struck-through price is the lowest of the last 30 days, so the discount is real. It applies to orders placed before the end or before the pieces run out.

What is "Six months on"?

Six months after delivery we ask how the product is: like new, with signs of use, repaired or broken, and whether you'd buy it again. The answers make a durability score on the product and its brand, shown from 3 answers upwards. We don't ask about gifts or returns. Your answers are in "Account → Six months on".

What is "Hold it for me"?

If the shop offers it, on the product page you can hold a piece for free for 24 or 48 hours: nobody else can buy it and the price won't go up. You'll find it in "Account → On hold for you" with "Buy now". At most 3 products at a time; if you don't buy it in time, it goes back on sale.

What is "I'd buy it at…"?

On products without "Make an offer" you can tell the shop what you'd pay, from half the price upwards. The shop only sees the prices, never who you are. If it decides to offer you that price (or less), you get a private offer valid 48 hours. Your price lasts 30 days and you can withdraw it any time.

Shipping and delivery

How much is shipping?

Each seller has their own rates, based on the parcel's weight and the destination country: you see them in the cart before paying. Some products include shipping in the price.

How do I track my parcel?

When the seller ships, the carrier and tracking number appear on the order page. With MoovExpress, Poste Italiane, SDA, BRT, GLS and InPost we follow the parcel ourselves and record the delivery.

My parcel arrived: do I need to do anything?

If the carrier doesn't record the delivery, confirm it from the order page. Without confirmation, the order counts as delivered 10 days after shipping: if the parcel hasn't arrived, report it before then.

Which countries do you ship to?

Countries of the European Union. If a seller doesn't ship to yours, the cart tells you before you pay.

Buyer protection

What is buyer protection?

After delivery you have 7 days to report a problem. Until then the seller doesn't get paid.

The parcel didn't arrive, is damaged or isn't what I ordered

Open the order page and press “Report a problem”: choose the reason, describe it and add photos. The seller replies and, if you don't agree, Zablas decides, with a full or partial refund if needed.

Can I write to the seller?

Yes, with “Contact the seller” on the product page or “Write to the seller” on the order page. Never pay outside Zablas: you would lose the protection.

What does "Top seller" mean?

It's a shop that over the last 90 days almost always shipped by the promised day with tracking, answered messages within 24 hours, had very few orders with problems and averages at least 4.5 stars. We check every night and it can't be bought. In search you can choose "Top sellers only".

Returns and refunds

Can I return a product?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, even without a reason (right of withdrawal). On the order page press “Return items” and choose the items.

How does a return work?

The seller approves the request and gives you the address. Ship the parcel and enter the tracking: when the seller receives it, we refund you.

Who pays for return shipping?

Usually you, except for shops offering a “Free return”, shown on the product page and on the order.

When do I get my refund?

As soon as the seller confirms receiving the return, or as soon as Zablas decides a report in your favour. If you used a discount code, the refund reflects what you actually paid.

Account and privacy

Where do I manage addresses and personal details?

In your account, under “Addresses” and “Personal details and privacy”. The default address comes first at checkout.

How do I download my data or delete my account?

Under “Personal details and privacy” you'll find “Download my data” (a file with everything we keep) and “Ask to delete my account”: we complete it within 30 days. We keep orders and invoices as the law requires.

Can I find out when a product is back in stock or cheaper?

Yes: add it to your wishlist with the heart. We tell you when it's back in stock or when there's a real reduction against the lowest price of the last 30 days.

Is there an app?

You can install Zablas like an app: on Android and computers with “Install the app” at the bottom of the page, on iPhone with Share → “Add to Home Screen”.

Auctions and used items

How does automatic bidding work?

Enter the most you're willing to pay: the system bids for you only as much as needed to stay in the lead, up to that maximum. Others see the current bid, not your maximum.

Why did the auction's end move?

A bid in the last 2 minutes moves the end 2 minutes later. That way the highest bidder wins, not whoever manages to bid in the last second.

I won an auction: what now?

You have 48 hours to pay: choose the address from «My auctions» and pay the order like any purchase, with the same 7-day buyer protection and returns.

What if I don't pay for an auction I won?

You get a strike and the item is offered to the next highest bidder. With 3 strikes in 12 months you can no longer bid. If there was a good reason, write to us: we can remove the strike.

Do used items come with returns and a guarantee?

Yes: only businesses sell them, so you have 14 days to withdraw and the legal guarantee (on used goods it can be shortened, but not below 12 months). The condition and any faults are described on the listing.

Gift cards

How do gift cards work?

Choose an amount from €10 to €500, pay, and you get a code right away to print or send. Whoever receives it enters it under “Account → Gift cards” and the amount becomes balance to spend at checkout in every Zablas shop.

Does the balance pay the whole order?

It pays what it covers: if it's enough, the order is paid at once; otherwise you pay the rest with your payment method. You can also choose not to use it at checkout.

Do they expire? Can I get cash?

The code must be redeemed within 10 years of purchase; the balance on your account doesn't expire. Gift cards and balance can't be exchanged for cash.

What if I cancel or return an order paid with the balance?

If the order is cancelled before payment, the balance used comes straight back to your account. For refunds we first refund the part paid by card, then the rest goes back to your balance.

Loyalty points

How do loyalty points work?

Some shops run a loyalty programme: you'll see it on the shop's page and on its products. You earn points on every order and use them as a discount on products from the same shop. Each shop sets its own rules (points per euro, value, minimum, expiry).

When do I get the points?

When the order is complete: delivered and the buyer protection period over. We'll send you a notification. Cancelled orders earn no points and refunds reduce them.

How do I use them?

At checkout, if you have enough points, you'll find a “Use points” box for each shop: the discount applies to products, not shipping, up to the limit the shop has set. If the order is cancelled, the points go back to your account.

Where can I see my points?

Under “Account → Loyalty points”: your points by shop, what they're worth and all activity. Points can't be exchanged for cash and only count in the shop that gave them.

Several sellers, one product

Why does a product have several sellers?

When several shops sell the same item, you find it on one page: in the “Sellers of this product” box you compare each shop's price, shipping to you, delivery date, condition and rating, and choose. In search you see “+ N offers from X €”.

Who am I buying from, and who ships it?

The shop you chose: its name is in your cart and order, and shipping, returns and support are its own, with the usual buyer protection. The page's texts and photos belong to the shop that created it.

For sellers

Getting started

What do I need to open a shop?

A VAT number or a business registered in the EU, an identity document and a bank account. Fill in the application from “Sell on Zablas”: the shop opens once our admins approve it.

How much does selling cost?

Opening a shop is free. On each order Zablas keeps a 10% commission on the price of the products sold: shipping is all yours. Every month you get an invoice for the commissions.

How do I upload many products at once?

Under Products → “Import products from a file” upload a CSV sheet (Excel or Google Sheets): download the template, fill in one row per variant and upload it. We suggest the category from the title.

Orders, payouts and prices

When do I get paid for an order?

After delivery and the end of the 7-day buyer protection, if no report is open. Your payout is the total paid minus the commission.

How do I show a discount?

Just lower the price: we work out the struck-through price as the lowest price of the previous 30 days, as the law requires, and show it for up to 30 days. The product must have been on sale for at least 30 days.

The customer needs an invoice: what do I do?

Their details are on the order page. You issue the invoice, then upload a PDF copy there: the customer downloads it from their account.

Can I create discount codes?

Yes, under “Discount codes”: a percentage or a fixed amount, with a minimum spend, dates and a number of uses. You pay the discount and the commission is on the product price after the discount.

I'm going on holiday: what do I do?

In your shop details turn on holiday mode with your return date: customers see your products but can't order them until you're back.

How do I become a Top seller?

Over the last 90 days you need at least 10 orders, 5 reviews averaging 4.5 or more, 95% shipped on time, 90% with tracking, at most 2% of orders cancelled by you or refunded after a dispute and 90% of messages answered within 24 hours. "Top seller" in the seller area shows where you stand.

How do I run a flash deal?

In "Flash deals" in the seller area choose the product, the discount, when it starts, how long it lasts (up to 24 hours) and, if you like, how many pieces. The product must have been on sale for at least 30 days and the deal price must be below its lowest price of those days. When it ends the prices go back by themselves.

What are the "six months on" answers on my products?

Six months after delivery we ask customers how the product is. You see them in "Reviews"; if someone says it broke we let you know, as it may be a legal-guarantee case. You can report an unfair comment to the admins: if they hide it, the answer still counts.

How does "Hold it for me" work?

Turn it on in "Markets and shipping", choosing 24 or 48 hours. The customer locks a piece at today's price: for those hours nobody else buys it and you can't raise its price. If they don't buy it, it goes back on sale by itself. You see who is holding what and can release it.

What do I see in "Would buy at…"?

The prices customers would pay for your products, without knowing who they are. You can pick a discount and send it as a private price, valid 48 hours, to those who'd buy at that price or more: they pay it like an offer. At most one sending a day per product.

Why do I have to give the net quantity?

By law, products sold by weight or volume also show the price per kg or litre. For food, drinks, detergents, cosmetics, supplements and pet food it's required: on the product's page choose the unit and type each variant's net quantity. We work out the price per kg/litre and show it next to the price, in search results too.

I sell food: what do I have to give?

What the label says (EU Reg. 1169/2011): the name of the food, the ingredients with allergens in capitals, the allergens, the food business operator, the nutrition declaration (or the exemption) and, where needed, storage, instructions for use, origin and alcohol. Plus each format's net quantity. Without them food, drinks and supplements can't go on sale; customers see them on the product's page before buying.

When is the energy label needed?

For appliances (fridges, washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, ovens, hoods, air conditioners, water heaters), TVs and monitors, light bulbs and LED strips, smartphones and tablets: without it they can't be sold. On the product's page choose the scale and class, upload the label image and type the EPREL number (the digits under the QR code). Next to the price customers see the arrow with the class, which opens the label, and the link to the product information sheet.

I sell electronics: what do I do about WEEE?

Whoever sells electrical and electronic equipment must take back the customer's equivalent old appliance free of charge (one for one). In “Markets and shipping” choose how you do it: the courier on delivery, a later collection or the customer brings it. Customers ask for it at checkout and you see a notice on the order. If you make or import appliances, add your EEE register number.

Loyalty programme

How do I set up a loyalty programme?

From “Loyalty” in the seller dashboard: choose how many points to give per euro, what they're worth, the minimum to use them, the maximum discount per order, optional welcome points and expiry. It's optional and you can turn it off at any time.

Who pays for the points discount?

You do, as with discount codes: the customer pays less for your products and the commission is calculated on the discounted price. Points are only earned on completed orders and only count in your shop.

Selling on other shops' listings

Can I sell a product that already has a listing?

Yes: on the product page use “Sell this product too”, or, when creating a product from a photo, code or name, choose “Sell on this listing”. You only set condition, price and quantity; texts and photos stay the listing's.

Can the shop that created the listing remove it?

While other shops sell on it, the listing stays on sale: its creator can edit texts and photos or set their own quantity to 0. Every shop can withdraw its own offer at any time.

Rules and tax data

What is DAC7 reporting?

An EU rule requires marketplaces to report sellers' details and sales to the tax authorities every year. That's why we ask for some tax details in your shop details.

How do I handle returns and reports?

On the order page: approve or refuse the return, confirm when you receive the parcel and reply to reports. If you and the customer don't agree, Zablas decides.

Auctions and used items

How do I auction an item?

Create the product with a single variant and 1 piece in stock, then in «Auctions» choose «New auction»: starting bid, optional reserve price and Buy It Now, length from 1 to 10 days. The auction starts right away.

What is the reserve price?

The lowest price you're willing to sell at. It stays secret: bidders only see whether it has been met. If the auction ends below the reserve, you don't sell.

Can I cancel an auction?

Yes, until the first bid. After that the auction runs to the end: the item can't be edited or taken off sale.

The winner didn't pay: what happens?

After 48 hours the item is automatically offered to the next highest bidder. If nobody pays, the auction ends without a sale and you can relist it or sell it at a fixed price.

How do I sell a used item?

On the product form choose the condition (refurbished or a used grade) and describe it: marks, faults, what's included. Used items appear in the Used section.

Didn't find the answer?

For an order, write to the seller or report a problem from the order page: your orders

For a product, ask the seller directly with “Contact the seller”.
